About GetFreeSMSNumber
GetFreeSMSNumber lists shared phone numbers that can receive SMS online. You pick a number, use it where a low-risk verification code is needed, and read the incoming message on that number's inbox page.
What the site is for
- Testing an app or website's SMS flow without using your own phone number.
- Signing up for low-risk services where you accept that the account may later be taken over by someone else using the same number.
- Checking that an SMS sender actually delivers messages to a given country.
What it is not for
Numbers are shared. Anyone who can view an inbox can read every message sent to it. Do not use these numbers for banking, payments, government services, email or social accounts you care about, password resets or account recovery.
Public and Member Only numbers
Public numbers can be viewed by any visitor. Member Only numbers require signing in with an active account. Member Only inboxes are still shared with every other member — they are not private or personal numbers.
How long messages are kept
Message history shown on the site covers roughly the last 180 days. Older messages are removed from the inbox views.
